This is story time with a twist! In addition to the traditional story time fun, we will explore the areas of science, technology, engineering, art, and math through simple, engaging activities.
Ages 18 months - 3 years
Have you ever wondered about the process for awarding the Nobel Prizes? Dr. Bill Brown will discuss the criteria used to nominate and finally choose the various Nobel Prizes.
The program brings together representatives from the NOTL Family Health Team, the NOTL Public Library and local residents. The program will run throughout the year. Consisting of workshops and presentations at the Library on a monthly basis, the program will focus on how to achieve and maintain healthy lifestyles, disease prevention, the detection and management of specific diseases and how to navigate and use the resources available to us in the Niagara health care system.
Calling all NOTL Yogi’s!
Whether you are new to yoga or have practiced for years, Yoga with Jenny is a gentle, beginner Hatha yoga for all levels. Come on out for some much-needed relief from stress, neck pain, back pain, or emotional pain. Every week we will focus on a different area of the body with student input and feedback encouraged. Classes are free and will be 60 minutes and will include meditation and breathing basics at the end. Please bring a yoga mat, towel and bottle of water.
Ian Hamilton will be at the library to launch his latest Ava Lee novel and his new series about Uncle Chow Tung. The event will be held in the library rotunda and will include a casual reception.
