Code Club FAQ

What is Code Club?

Code club is currently a virtual program for kids that uses games and activities to teach coding!

What is "30 Minute Micro:bit"?

This is a virtual program that branches off of Code Club. Each session requires registration and allows children to log on to Zoom sessions with library staff and complete a quick Micro:bit project together. Anyone can sign up and it does not require having an actual Micro:bit because we will be using an online Micro:bit simulator.

How can I borrow coding toys from the library?

Coding toys can be borrowed in the same way that books are. Clicking on each button under the "Code at Home" section above leads to you info and activities for the coding toy/tool. If you click on one of the toys, you will find the link for the toy in our catalogue. A library membership is required to borrow toys. If you are unfamiliar with our curbside pickup protocol, please visit the "Curbside Pick Up" tab under "Books & More" in the navigation bar above.
