Calling all NOTL Yogi’s!
Whether you are new to yoga or have practiced for years, Yoga with Jenny is a gentle, beginner Hatha yoga for all levels. Come on out for some much-needed relief from stress, neck pain, back pain, or emotional pain. Every week we will focus on a different area of the body with student input and feedback encouraged. Classes are free and will be 60 minutes and will include meditation and breathing basics at the end. Please bring a yoga mat, towel and bottle of water.
Description:This active play drop-in program is designed to get your children moving. The library's Rotary Room will be set up with "Soft Play" equipment on which children can explore, climb, balance and jump. Supervision is the responsibility of the caregiver.
Ages 3mos - 4yrs
This is story time with a twist! In addition to the traditional story time fun, we will explore the areas of science, technology, engineering, art, and math through simple, engaging activities.
Ages 18 months - 3 years
The program brings together representatives from the NOTL Family Health Team, the NOTL Public Library and local residents. The program will run throughout the year. Consisting of workshops and presentations at the Library on a monthly basis, the program will focus on how to achieve and maintain healthy lifestyles, disease prevention, the detection and management of specific diseases and how to navigate and use the resources available to us in the Niagara health care system.
Tanya Talaga focuses on indigenous issues and investigative reporting. She has been part of two teams that won project of the year National Newspaper Awards. Nominated four times at the Michener Awards for public service journalism, she was named the Atkinson Fellow for public policy in 2017.
She will be talking about her book, All Our Relations and Seven Fallen Feathers
